XO He Proposed To Me

Dear XOs, I want to share a bit of personal information with you. I want to give you the 4.1.1. Come closer. My best friend of 4 years proposed to me. Jinkies. Seriously though, I couldn’t be much happier but let me tell you, if someone had told me 4 years ago that this was going to be the man I fell in love with I would have slapped them. XOs the world is not level, as a matter a fact the world isn’t round and this man surely spun my world round and round.

You want to know a secret XOs? I knew he was going to propose 🙂 I actually told MommaXO weeks before that he was going to. Our exchange went something like this:

XoMe: Mom, I think he’s going to ask me to marry him….

MommaXO: Why do you think that?

XoMe: Well, he’s been asking me a lot more about the future and he’s been making plans Mom, the kind of plans a husband makes with a wife. Well that and I caught him looking at engagement rings 🙂

MommaXO: Well, if he does ask you, act surprised and enjoy the moment. Act natural, wait no your natural is crazy, don’t act crazy. 🙄

Yup, thats my mother for ya. I didn’t think about it, as matter of fact, I totally took my mind off it, I didn’t think about it too much after that conversation.

Almost Doesn’t Count….

XOs here’s another secret, I almost didn’t get asked, well not true but it didn’t go as planned. LOL. Now let me explain, before this proposal came Mr. XO and I had been exploring New York every single day, we did absolutely all the very touristy things, we went everywhere. It was fun, but extremely exhausting. New York at that time of the year was super hot and full of tourists, it was super fun but, I pretty much got  constant headaches and had the worst tan of my life. XOs, I wasn’t so much a ray of sunshine and rainbows at that point LOL. Poor Mr. Xo had it all planned out though. His proposal had been planned for the famous rooftop bar in New York, the very prestigious The Press Lounge, oh the details he had set up for this, but guess who was just too tired. Yes my darlings, I pretty much changed my mind at the very last minute not to go. I know I know XOs, but exploring New York for 2 weeks had made me extremely weary, luckily Mr. XO is not a man easily deterred from his goal. The next day we had a lovely time on Ellis Island, funny thing about that, I fell asleep in Mr. XO’s arms at the beginning of the film shown, straight up snoring and all LOL. I really can’t make these things up.

XOs the night was still young after the Liberty and Ellis Island exploration, we next went to Coney Island, where the fun continued. We may have ridden every ride there, laughed ourselves into headaches and eaten our fill. Ah yes, it was definitely a very good day. The night was coming to an end so we decided to take a walk along the Pier because the moon was out and very exquisite. XOs I must say, I’m sure getting proposed to at The Press Lounge would have been great, but thinking back to that Pier at Coney Island, it could not have been anymore perfect. Mr. Xo got down on one knee (the most nervous I’ve ever seen him to this day) and recited the most beautiful speech I’ve ever heard (I wont tell you that part LOL) he fumbled getting the box out of his pocket (the box he had been carrying around for 2 weeks) and asked me to be his wife. XOs it couldn’t have been anymore magical as if it was straight from one of the romance novels I am always engulfed in. The moon was the largest I’ve ever seen it, and looked as if it was close enough to reach out and touch, the stars were no exception, they twinkled in the moon’s background. I recall hearing A Thousand Years by Christina Perri from a boom box someone had nearby. Not the proposal Mr. XO wanted but absolutely perfect none the less. Of course I said yes, I have no clue why Mr. XO seemed so nervous about it all. Becoming my best friend’s wife couldn’t be anything less than a beautiful dream come through.
